Tuesday’s meeting of the Faulkner County Parade Committee, led by Rick Sublett, saw the announcement of several decisions voted on earlier in the week.
• The parade will be led by the Conway Fire Department Pipes and Drums and color guard. A formal announcement will come later, but Grand Marshals were selected, paying homage to fallen officers Hans Fifer and William McGary.
• The committee requested that, following the parade, winning floats remain on display at the Expo Center. In addition, the committee will ask the Fair Committee for an increase in the amount of prizes for winning floats.
• Toby Hart, in charge of horses and wagons, reminds folks that because the Sale Barn no longer exists, there will be no last-minute opportunity for Coggins Tests. “Plan ahead and get your tests done now,” she said.
