The search for three Faulkner County inmates continues.
The three inmates, Jonathan Jackson, Joel Vermillion, Jr. and Stacy Ray Wilson escaped by pulling back a fence in the detention center's recreation yard, located on South German Lane, around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The escapees also jumped a barbwire fence and stole a vehicle from a nearby business.
The vehicle was identified as a 1997 white, four-door Chevrolet Lumina, license plate 184 SAO. The inmates were last seen in white shirts heading toward Dave Ward Drive, the sheriff's office said.
Although Faulkner County Sheriff's deputies have searched for the escaped inmates for nearly a day, Chief Deputy Matt Rice confirmed at 12:30 p.m. Sunday there have been no new developments in the search.
Faulkner County Sheriff Andy Shock said Saturday afternoon that the detention center has "policies and procedures" that were not followed by staff, which resulted in the escape.
The sheriff's office asks anyone with information on the escaped inmates to dial 911.
