June has been an odd month, according to Conway Corp.’s sales of electricity and water.
And, compared to last year, the number of customers using the local services has declined, an almost a 2 percent drop in cable subscribers.
In other business, members of the Board of Directors voted to give a donation of $20,000 to the Miracle League Field, a request from David Grimes, the Conway Kiwanis Club and other non-profit agencies.
The Miracle League Field will be a safe addition to Curtis Walker Field on Museum Road designed for children with disabilities, said CEO Richie Arnold.
In addition the board authorized a contract with Van Horn Construction to install water quality compliance improvements at the Roger Q Mills Water Treatment Plant.
Arnold explained that the contractor will change to a chlorine dioxide treatment process.
