Conway Corp. board meets

Posted: July 17, 2013 - 5:27pm

June has been an odd month, according to Conway Corp.’s sales of electricity and water.

And, compared to last year, the number of customers using the local services has declined, an almost a 2 percent drop in cable subscribers.

In other business, members of the Board of Directors voted to give a donation of $20,000 to the Miracle League Field, a request from David Grimes, the Conway Kiwanis Club and other non-profit agencies.

The Miracle League Field will be a safe addition to Curtis Walker Field on Museum Road designed for children with disabilities, said CEO Richie Arnold.

In addition the board authorized a contract with Van Horn Construction to install water quality compliance improvements at the Roger Q Mills Water Treatment Plant.

Arnold explained that the contractor will change to a chlorine dioxide treatment process.

Add me to the cable drop list

Cable has really become expensive. I'm sure it's the content owner's that driven up the prices. I'm trying to be more frugal with my money and paying almost $50/ month is not an option. All my expenses are increasing in a negative correlation to my salary and something has go to give! The show I'm going to miss my HGTV and Catfish on MTV!

Maybe it's because....

Their cable service is a joke and people don't want to pay for it.

Conway Corporation

has consistently provided me with excellent services at reasonable prices. Check with your friends in LR and NLR to see what they are paying. I am glad to be a customer of Conway Corporation, as I said, for over a decade I have received nothing but positive customer service, proactive prevention of service interruption and fast response to any service interruptions, all by the most courteous employees of any company in Conway. Conway Corporation has a great team of employees and managers and I hope they continue on the path they are on.

The cable prices do rise when the vendors providing the feeds raise their rates.

We get all our TV over the internet. Although we currently have Conway Corp internet, their offerings have not kept up with the times, and I'm not sure we will continue using them.

I will concur with reader that, if I have to call concerning a problem, they deal with it immediately.
