Conway man dies in auto accident

A Conway man died in a head-on collision in White County Tuesday afternoon.

Zane J. Painter, 35, died from injuries after his vehicle crossed the centerline while he was driving east on Arkansas 64 at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. His car, a 2004 Chevrolet, hit an oncoming truck driven by Richard M. Weaver of Muskogee, Okla.

According to the Arkansas State Police report, conditions during the collision were dry and clear.

Painter died from unspecified injuries, while Weaver was transported to the White County Medical Center. His condition has not been released as of Wednesday morning.
