Take a stand for righteousness and be a bold witness for Jesus

Posted: March 31, 2011 - 5:35pm

One of the greatest stories ever told in the Bible is in the book of Daniel. (Daniel 3:8-18) I urge you to take your time and read it. It talks about the three Hebrew boys and how they stood up for righteousness. If we had more people like them in our Churches today just think how much better off our city, Churches, school and community would be today. We as Christians have to stand up for righteousness, we as Christians have to stand on the word of God and to believe and have faith in Jesus. Because what God says is going to happen is going to come to pass no matter what the circumstance may be. We as Christians have to be a bold witness for Jesus. We need to stand up and stop backing down from the truth.  Some of us say we are Christians but they never open their mouth to tell their unsaved friends and loved ones that God loves them and that Jesus died for them and He wants to make up part of His family in Heaven. We as Christians need to stop letting the Devil paralyze us from telling the truth about Jesus and His love for us. Some of us, as Christians think that we are suppose to be quiet and not to say anything to those who are not saved and are living an ungodly Life. How many of you know that is not true? God saved us to be a witness for His Son, Jesus. Some people say just living the life as a Christian and not opening their mouth is ok, but for me, I’ve got to open my mouth and let the saved and unsaved know that I’m a friend of God and I’m not ashamed of Jesus and I will lift up His holy name because He is worthy to be praised. Some Christians might say that it doesn’t take all that to be a witness for Jesus. That’s what you say, you see, you don’t know my background. In other words, you don’t know what God brought me through and from and how He kept His loving arms around me back then and now in spite of my hellish and sinful ways. I know I’ve told you some of my background about my past but not all of it. For the sake of the limited space in the paper I can’t tell you all of it but to make a long story short, my past wasn’t so good. But I thank God through Jesus Christ that He’s not looking at my past but only my future. Listen, what I’m saying, I’m saying this out of love. It’s time to choose whose side you are on, Jesus or Satan? We as Christians need to stop trying to fit in with the world and the world’s way of doing things. Jesus has set a standard for His people and that standard should be us living like Him. We as Christians have to stop mixing light with darkness, either we are walking in the light with Jesus or we are walking in darkness with the devil. Which one have you given your life to? Like I said, light and darkness don’t mix. For example, every time you go into a dark room and turn on the light the darkness has to go. The room is never half light and half darkness and it’s the same way with our body. We can’t let our light shine for Jesus and live in darkness for the devil. It’s one or the other! Either you are saved or you are not. I just want to let you know there is a war going on for our souls. We are in a war, people of God. So stand up for righteousness! If there are any of you who don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior now is the time to receive Him into your heart. Just say: God, forgive me of my sins for I am a sinner in need of a savior. I repent right now in Jesus’ name. Forgive me of my sins and save me. I thank You that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins. And I accept Him as my Lord and Savior today. In Jesus’ name.  AMEN.You may contact Marcus at: 501-908-9507 or mchandler2011@hotmail.com
