It seems there is a new Italian restaurant in the works.
On Highway 64 West near North Donaghey Avenue, in the shopping center just north of the intersection, a new sign indicates that Two Brothers, an Italian restaurant, is coming soon.
Some of you will remember the location as the space formerly occupied by Catfish and More. I hope to have more information soon on this addition to the restaurant climate in town.
Salem Road update
For anyone who is not aware, Lenny’s Subs has closed, and Stromboli’s is renovating that space. Stromboli’s has closed its location on North Donaghey Avenue and will reopen on Salem Road in early April. This will, no doubt, be a much better location for Stromboli’s, as it will have more space and a wider delivery area.
Right next door to the future location of Stromboli’s, it appears some work may have begun on the space that has been leased by Crazy Hibachi.
Furthermore, Hollender’s ATA Martial Arts, owned by Sean and Blair Hollender, is moving to Sherman Heights Plaza. The shopping center is on Salem Road across from Conway Regional Fitness Center.
Gift shop has attitude
In the shopping center at Prince Street and Salem Road, Unhinged Attitudz Gifts, Décor and More is preparing to open. The address is 2850 Prince St.
Jennifer McMillan is the owner. She is a former Acxiom associate who decided to go into business for herself. She saw an opportunity for a gift shop, as the one formerly located in the area closed several months ago and Curves recently moved out of the building she has moved into.
McMillan describes her business as one that offers something for everyone. She will carry everything from baby gifts to garden items, kitchen décor and drink mixes. A whole room will be devoted to baby gifts, and the store will offer the Mud Pie line of baby clothing. Another wall is filled with stuffed animals. Accessories will include Tigerlily interchangeable sandals, Lindsay Phillips sandals, Da Vinci beaded jewelry, Stamps brand watches with interchangeable faces, purses, etc.
The gift shop will also offer embroidery, customized T-shirts, and vinyl cutouts for personalized items.
McMillan hopes to open by April 1.
