After reading Jim Davidson’s column in Friday’s Nov. 2 Log Cabin, I had to write this letter.
I have lived in Conway for over 52 years. I picked Conway to live when our family moved to Arkansas to build the missile silos. We came visiting towns in Central Arkansas to live. I loved fishing, and I told Dad while looking at this lake near Conway, “I can ride my bike to fish.” Dad agreed, and we moved to Conway from Bossier City, La.
Now I live high above Lake Conway on top of Pine Mountain overlooking the lake from Brannon’s Landing to the Dam. I awoke one morning to an awesome sun rise. Later that day, I called my wife to the deck. I said, “Could you believe Lake Conway is blue?” The blue sky reflecting off the sun made the water blue.
What a blessing.
