I heard about a dating experiment between two friends that had gone viral called '40 Days of Dating' that sounded interesting.
Two single friends, with tons of baggage and bad dating habits, agree to date exclusively for 40 days and record what happens. Oh, this can't end well. Doesn't everyone see that this is going to be a trainwreck? Yes? So, obviously, I had to watch. Or in this case -- read. And the way the experiment unfolded *gulp* day by day, like reading their journals, felt a bit voyeuristic.
It was better than a reality show. (Except maybe Big Brother, Season 2 or Survivor, Season 1 because reality shows should've stopped after those two anyway.) Daily blog posts with copies of dinner receipts, short videos, pics of sweet cards exchanged - it was very well done.
It's a love story. Even James Cameron said that all his movies are love stories: Titanic - love story on a boat; Avatar - love story on another planet; Terminator - I'm not sure; Alien - now I'm not sure how Cameron defines 'love'.
Anyway, now I see 40 Days of Dating is being made into a movie. Read it first before it gets turned into another Jennifer Aniston or Jennifer Lawrence or Jennifer Garner film that does well at Sundance.
