Sending a S/O today to Conway Sanitation. You see, it's trash day on my side of town and after the week we had, this morning's jaunt past the neighbors' curbside trash was nearly unbearable.
At what point does trash odor pass that stinky but still sweet stage and then take that rancid turn?
The smell of my green cart was bearable until Tuesday afternoon. A few days of the humid 90-100 degree heat on top of someone's leftover Waffle House breakfast thrown directly into the outside trash can must have been like manna for the local flies.
Anyone who has ever lived in Arkansas in the summertime knows what I'm talking about. Putrid.
Then you add last night's rain to the open bags of lawn clippings...fermentation. Someone could bottle it and make moonshine. They probably already do.
Thanks Conway Sanitation crew and any workers who spend their day out in this heat taking care of city and county services. Also, don't forget to check on elderly and pets in your neighborhood because this heat can be brutal, just like the smell of my trash can.
