Good Day to Review Die Hard

Back | Next

Bruce Willis has come a long way since singing "Seagram's: Golden Wine Coolers" in commercials. Don't knock it! It was catchy and had a nice beat you could dance to.

But after seeing 'A Good Day to Die Hard' I can say although he looks like he's 1,000 years old, he's still got it - the X factor. A gleam in his un-botoxed squinting eyes and a crooked grin that makes you laugh.

I laughed a lot.

Die Hard movies are good for laughs because John McClane tries to be a decent man. He gets in bad situations. (Poor thing.) He never loses his sense of humor. In the end, he takes down the bad guys; he's an unlikely hero.

Best Die Hards in order:

  1. Die Hard (original)
  2. Die Hard with Samuel Jackson
  3. Newest Die Hard with cute grown up son Jai Courtney
  4. Die Hard with with guy who looks like Jimmy Fallon
  5. Die Hard with the wife stuck on an airplane

How many near-death experices can one character have I feel like he is in some repeating episode of the A-Team where they shoot like 10,000 rounds of ammo and NO ONE ever get shoot. At least people get shot and killed in the Die Hard movies but John on gets nicked.

It's not as bad as Rambo, for sure..

The A-Team - another good movie.
You've got a good point on the nicks - he always ends up with a bloody tshirt but no real damage since the running on broken glass in the first movie.

But man-o-man

It's like wherever that character goes, glass breaks.

Only good Danny Glover movie was The Color Purple

The only LW worth watching is the first one. I'll go which is better DH or Rocky and vote Rocky all day long.

The only good day to watch a Bruce or Rocky movie

is when you have eaten something poisonous and need to vomit.
