Have you seen the Google commerical about the mom with the mad crafting skillz who gets the daughter dressed as Martin Van Buren for President's Day?
Funny stuff.
Made me hope someone would come to work dressed as their favorite president today. Sadly, unless they tell me they costumed themselves as James K. Polk, I may not see a resemblance. Strange how there really are only a handful (maybe 15?) of the 44 presidents that we could pick out of a line up. Pun intended.
Secondly, makes me wonder why Google is bothering to advertise. Are Bing, Yahhhooooo! and GoDaddy starting to cut too deeply into the search business 'pie'?
When I typed 'Martin Van Buren' into Google - I got about 2,480,000 results in (0.36 seconds). That's because it took me that long to type his whole name in the box. Sad. On the other hand, Google, relax, you've got my search business. If it had taken 0.45 seconds, maybe things would be different, but for now, you got the job.
Happy Presidents' Day!

Saw this ceremony myself at Mount Vernon. GW ..... our greatest potus ever.
Google does other things
Google does other things besides a search engine. E-mail, Maps, Phones, Apps, Youtube, etc etc. They've even dabbled in some social networking (blogger and a few other things).
There is no Google without search perfection
Wonder then why the Google commercial wasn't about email, maps, etc...it was about search. The one thing they're GREAT at. I have a Google+ account that I've used twice.
I don't know. I haven't seen
I don't know. I haven't seen the commercial. I know they've integrated maps and their shopping stuff (and other things) into search where when you do a search for say "conway veterinarians" usually the first thing's that pop up are locations for Conway Vets from their maps service.
Same with shopping. Search is the gateway to their other services I guess.
