Well, the golden arches went up yesterday on Oak Street. It's been a fascinating and quick remodel/reconstruction of my favorite McDonald's.
Remember when all the McDonald's characters were on the wall when you walked in the side door? My favorite was Ronald McDonald. I was never much of a fan of the Hamburgler and couldn't stand Grimace. Mayor McCheese? Puhleease.
That McDonald's holds a special place in my heart (right next to the spot reserved for Burger Shack and The Varsity.) It was a hot 'cruising' spot back in the 80s and a lot of my friends worked there. Too many memories of too many french fries and too many trips trough the drive thru.
I haven't been inside that McD's in probably five years but I think I'll make a point to go in and check out the new digs of my old stompin' ground. It looks like they'll be ready to open soon and I hope Ronald shows up!

A restaurant that promotes violence.
Now that was funny
Thank you for a good laugh. It's not hard to think of a few good captions for this.

As long as they make good on their promise to make getting in and out of there easier, I'll be a happy camper. I'm craving a McDouble right now.
