With the weekend's temperatures expected to be the coldest of the year, you can count on a few local events to keep us all from hibernating.
Oprah's favorite leading man, Danny Glover, will be at UCA tonight for a performance of "An Evening with Martin & Langston." This Friday night, one of my favorite events is celebrating a big anniversary, it's the 20th annual Pete Hart Memorial Casino Night hosted by Century 21 Dunaway and Hart benefiting Easter Seals Arkansas. Also on Friday night is the annual Bethlehem House Valentine's Gala. I think the gala is a sold-out event. That's a great fundraiser for Bethlehem House.
Never fear, the chocolate is here! Chocoholics Dream Day Out is Saturday. This great event supports the Humane Society of Faulkner County. Wrap up a great weekend of LOVE-ly events at the Ford Theater. They'll be celebrating Valentine's Day with Jake Martin spinning everyone's favorite love songs and dance music.
Just remember that attending these Valentine-like events will NOT excuse you from having to buy a gift on Valentine's Day for your significant other!
