After my last forum post, I am still stunned at the response of the posters who attacked me as dishonest, disingenuous, sick, and a hater of the Christian faith. 

When you inform people of the failures of institutions or people they have held in high respect, you are subject to what you get in a free society.  Even though the information I provided was factual, still I was accused of false sources and dishonesty. 

Not a single one of the posters, who attacked me, know the least about me, or my life, yet when they find out their sainted organization or person has not been open about their failures, they attack the messenger, not the facts or the responsible party, the messenger.  As Sophocles said "No one loves the messenger who brings bad news".  Still the ad hominem attacks by many can sting, despite their irrelevance.  It does reaffirm my belief in the intellectual level of the general public here. 

However through the years, as a gay person, I have been called many, many, many names.  I have been physically attacked.  I have had my property damaged and my life threatened.  I have borne the brunt of hatred and I will again.  I am old, but still up to the fight, from the self-righteous and the ignorant alike, I am up to the fight.

Many of those who have attacked me over the K-Life / Kanakuk Kamps information I provided, long ago lost my respect, but several whom I have followed with regularity, also lost my respect.  In fact it has sincerely damaged my opinion of the greater Conway public.  The K-Life group has apparently been around long enough to create a large following, possibly in absence of facts which have been withheld from their following here.  All this is just my humble opinion, but it leaves me sad at the state of a small town I call home.

Children of the town of Conway, and other Arkansas cities which sent their children to these "kamps", may have been damaged.  As a person who has suffered that indignity himself, I cry for their pain.
