Recently I was asked to fill out a survey for a feature called "We Are The Cabin" which basically takes one member of the Log Cabin staff and introduces them via a photo and several questions about their life. One of the items on the survey was "interesting facts," and for the life of me, I couldn't think of a thing. I finally came up with something, but I was reaching. Now, suddenly, I feel like I have all kinds of interesting facts to tell about myself.
For instance, I am terrified of spiders. So much so that I will scream at the little bitty ones sometimes. So much so that I have nightmares about them. What kind of psychopathology lies behind this terror? I couldn't tell you. But there is something deep down within me that believes they are evil, sinister and deadly.
Another interesting fact — breakfast is my favorite meal, and I could eat it for every meal. Waffles, pancakes, French toast, bagels, cereal, eggs, sausage, cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns ... it never gets old. Fortunately, there are other people in my life who make me keep variety in my meals.
Confession. One of my favorite things to do is take a nap. My friends know this well, as it is a priority on Sunday afternoons (and sometimes other days).
Another confession. I would really rather listen to other people talk about themselves than go on about myself, but so far blog content has been a little scarce. Soon I hope to transform this space into something more than just my musings on me.
