Interesting humans

I've written two blog entries all about me. Enough about me. Tell me about you all. What's on your mind? What kind of stories do you want to read about?

Obviously you want the news -- breaking news, hard news, the important stuff. But how do you feel about stories that are simply entertaining, surprising, heart-warming or informative? You're probably going to see some stories like that from me, once I get my sealegs, so to speak. A lot of people call them "human interest" stories. That's fine with me -- I find humans interesting.

For example, this week I met a 77-year-old man who is in better shape than most people I know in their 30s. This person volunteers his time to help people suffering from debilitating injuries recover and live fuller lives. That's interesting, right? You can read more about it in the print edition and online soon.

Well, if you have a good idea for a story, feel free to call me. I have a phone number now (501-505-1236) and hopefully I will have email before long.

Ditto to Budnmud

except I am skinny. I think I know the 77 year old you are talking about. A legendary athlete from Conway. Looking forward to the story.

Withholding judgment

Withholding judgment for now on the creepy, Budnmud. Hmm. That rhymes with Elmer Fudd. I'm easily amused. Say, do you guys think it's a little weird that you're anonymous and I'm not? Just wondering. Haven't spent much time on the forum.

Ideas

Stories about cats dying, I just love those. Everybody I know loves those stories.

And - you're new around here so you may not yet be aware of this - Conway and the area is over run with Ninjas. They are really hard to see because they're Ninjas and if there's one thing Ninjas can do well, it's not be seen, but I mean the place is crawling with them (Look! Behind you! ... aaaaand he's gone).

Here's the thing, you want fast-track to Pulitzer? Conway Ninjas.

Okay, you're being attentive, I like that, I see you going places with this operation, so I'll give you a tip: The mayor can't hear out his right ear. He's real sensitive about it, doesn't like people to bring it up or notice it or anything, but any time you're talking to him, don't say anything unless you're standing to his left. You do that, and you'll get some scoops.

Also somebody needs to do a feature on 8 Day Tire out there on Dave Ward. That place is unique and a joy - and now I'm being serious (and have zero interest in 8 Day, zero).
