Looking for Suggestions

Does anyone have any suggestions for a car mechanic in Conway or surrounding areas? I'm looking for reliability and true knowledge, not someone who's going to just hook it up to a computer and give me the "diagnosis".

I value opinions of personal experience with the mechanic over "my best friend's boyfriend's dad's daughter said she thought they were good".

I'm hopful that at least some of the LCD readers are not bought-it-new-in-the-last-year-always-take-it-to-the-dealership vehicle owners.

If it's a foreign car, use

If it's a foreign car, use Skip's Foreign Auto Repair. Great service.

With that in mind....

...I'd eliminate the dealer n Conway from your list of those under consideration.

Velco Automotive
He is now in Terry's Tire Town on Locust across the street from where Van Ronkle ends since his old place burnt.

Don't be in a hurry but the man does good work and his prices can't be beat. He is semi-retired and works out back of Terry's place.

But he has been doing auto repair for 30 to 40 years that I know of in Conway.

Maybe not the best choice

But i joined the Army for that skill and now do all my own. I would hate to make a living do it. At least I know who to see if its not done right.

Good luck with your search tho. As asort of mechanic I can tell you that every mechanic thinks all the others are bad. One thing I would do is take a look at the shop as you pull up, alot of times if the shop looks organized they probably have a similar work ethic.
