The University of Central Arkansas just completed one of the most well-attended and successful Southland Conference baseball tournaments in history.
UCA benefitted from good, rain-free weather and the Bears reaching the finals and playing all four days.
The official attendance for UCA's four tournament games was 3,173, capped by a stadium-record crowd for Saturday's final of 1,007. The numbers got bigger every day.
Particularly for the title game, the fans from both UCA and Southeastern Louisiana were enthusiastic, loud and classy, representing the best of college baseball.
UCA officials drew high praises from representatives of rival schools for the class and efficient way they put on the tournament.
