Password knocked off its perch

Drumroll, please.

Password has been dethroned as the worst (or least secure) password for computer use in 2013, according to Splashdata, which monitors it every year.

The new No. 1 is no big surprise: 123456. The shakeup relates to a security breach on Adobe, which affected about 45 million users in October of last year.

The recently released top 10 of bad passwords (and you'll soon see a pattern here):

1. 123456

2. password

3. 12345678

4. qwerty

5. abc123

6. 123456789

7. 111111

8. 1234567

9. iloveyou

10. adobe123.

Others making the top 20 are photoshop, monkey, 1234567890 and princess.

Will iforgot ever make the cut?
