North Dakota State won its third straight NCAA FCS title Saturday with a 35-7 victory over Towson.
Blowout? That was the Bisons' closest game in the 24-team playoffs.
They finished 15-0. They've won 24 games in a row.
Their fans were loyal and confident they filled about 90 percent of the seats at a sold-out, 21,000-seat stadium at Frisco, Texas, which provided a respite from brutal cold.
Their coach, Craig Bohl, is now headed for the head coaching job at the University of Wyoming.
For now, North Dakota State is another program you can put on the Mount Rushmore of FCS football.
Maybe all of college football.
One fantastic run.
