Texas coach Mack Brown and Nebraska coach Bo Pellini are both under fire, even from former icons of their respective programs.
But note the different ways that the two coaches handled criticism from former star players.
Tommy Frazier, a highly successful former quarterback, said it was time for Nebraska to make a change after the Cornhuskers blew a 21-3 lead and lost to UCLA, 41-21.
Replied Pellini, "If he [Frazier] feels like that, then so be it. We don't need him. That's a shame."
Recently, Heisman Trophy winner Earl Campbell said that it was time for Texas to make a change concerning Brown.
Replied Brown, "Earl Campbell will always be welcome back at Texas. "I'm disappointed in his comments but he has a right to say what he feels."
Two high-profile coaches. A big difference in class.
