After a five-month absence from a bone-marrow transplant, Robin Roberts was on-air again Wednesday for ABC's Good Morning America.
"I've been waiting 174 days to say this, "Good Morning America," she said.
I first admired Roberts from her work at ESPN and as one of the first (and the best) female play-by-play broadcasters.
She's more than a voice and a news personality. Her well-chronicled battle with health issues showed faith, strength, perseverance, humor and character. She's easy to like and respect.
And her courage is off the charts.
At a time when one color seems to dominate basketball events, we're tickled pink Robin is back.
