App time for Lent

During this Lenten season, a couple of my friends are giving up using an smart phone app or two.

Don't exactly know how that will work over 40 days.

I'm sure at some point there will be an app for giving up apps for Lent.

To me, it's not as important as what you give up during the season is what you do with what you don't give up.

It's a tough decision for some I know to figure out what to give up for Lent.

Suggestions? What, if anything, are you giving up (or have sacrificed in the past) during Lent?

Call me, maybe

I think instead of giving up something, I'm switching it to the positive and I'm going to DO something for 40 days.
I'm going to contact a long-lost friend or loved one each day and just 'check in' and let them know I love them and see how they're doing.
Normally, I dread talking on the phone after work but for the next 40 days - watch out!

A GREAT Plan
Maybe we should all do something positive not just 40 dyas a year but the other 320 odd days too.

Wish I knew what Lent was because if is a Christian thing I can't find it listed in the New Testament anywhere.
