We'll get into the four layers of the events within a game Super Bowl 47 in Tuesday's column in the print edition.
Some quick thoughts for now:
* The best commercial was the Clydesdale. I had to fight back tears today when I saw it again. It's almost the perfect commercial.
* The no-call in the end zone at the end of the game is similar to what happens underneath the backboard in the last seconds of a basketball game. A lot of stuff goes on on both sides and in the final seconds of a big game, officials tend to let a lot of things go and a no-call is a result more often than not.
* It's incredible how the entire complexion of a game can change after a lengthy delay.
* As things fade into history, will folks be talking more about Beyonce, the game, the blackout — or all of the above.

For impact, I liked the Dodge Trucks commercial about farmers.

Paul Harvey + Dodge Trucks + Farm Life =
Awesomeness
yes
Pass interference is allowed in the last minute of a game, evidently.
How many games this year have refs decided?
The impact of the farmers ad
The impact of the farmers ad was awesome. It just was nothing new with various farm groups. But to tie it with a very powerful set of photos by linking it to a truck ad and place it on such a national stage combined to make it awfully gripping. I loved the photos.
My Bet
Is there are more Chevy than Dodge or Ford than Dodge farmers in Arkansas.
From what I've seen...
...Ford rules the farmers market here in Arkansas. They tend to like the power stroke engine for pulling equipment and trailers.
But, their are a number who are loyal to the Chevy/GMC and Dodge brand as well.
