The makers of the game of Monopoly are making a change.
A token one.
One is the traditional game pieces — car, thimble, boot, Scottie dog, battleship, iron or wheelbarrow — is going to jail with no parole.
A new piece will replace it — either a cat, diamond ring, guitar, helicopter or robot.
The decision will be made by "Survivor-like" vote — by the game's audience on Facebook. The top vote-getters by Feb. 6 will either get the boot (possibly literally the boot) or a welcome mat.
Everybody has their favorite Monopoly piece — one that represents "you" for a couple of hours or so, the you you dream about when you acquire the Boardwalk, Park Place empire.
If I were adding pieces, I would choose a smart phone, a sombrero, a bass boat, a football helmet and a bottle of wine.
Let's have an unofficial poll.
Which one of the classic tokens would you eliminate?
Which one of the proposed new tokens would you add?
And if you had to pick a new Monopoly token, what would you propose?
I'm betting they'll be at least one vote for a clown hat.

The dog is my favorite. I'd have to retire the thimble as it's my least favorite. I'm not sure how hard it would be to design, but I think a good sign for our times would be a computer. Maybe like a CRT style monitor with a little keyboard connected to it would work. Or maybe an open laptop.
One of the updated versions
One of the updated versions has that already has a lap top and a flat screen tv, there might already even be a PC. I think as a sign of the times either a smart phone or a tablet.

I can't remember the last time I saw one or used one don't know if there is on in my house anymore (except for the one in the monoply game) and in the past I have used one so......
New one maybe the WiFI symbol of some sort.

From what I'm hearing, the iron is about to fall flat. And it may be a tight one between the helicopter and the robot. But I'd go with the space shuttle over the helicopter
