It was a wonderful and classy gesture for Arkansas State athletic director Terry Mohajir to invite former football coach Steve Roberts, now the athletic director for Cabot Schools, and his wife to be a special guests of the team at the GoDaddy.com Bowl.
Roberts built the foundation for ASU to become relevant. He recruited most of the seniors who led the Red Wolves to two 10-win seasons. He still has a strong relationship with most of them.
Roberts is a class act who is well respected by media and coaches throughout the state.
He's a real part of where the Red Wolves are today and deserved to be on the sideline for the bowl victory and celebration.
