And the password is ...

"Password."

Again "password" is the No. 1-rated bad password, according to technology experts who pay attention, and actually remember, passwords.

In the top five are: 123456 or (more complicated and certainly more secure) 12345678, abc123 and qwerty.

Among the other highest-rated, ill-advised passwords are 111111, monkey, dragon and baseball. New to the wrong password list are Jesus, ninja, welcome and mustang.

Also making the bad password list is a tweak that can obviously throw a hacker for a loop, "password1."

For many of us, once we develop a secure password, write it down, lose it, the password process is more simple. Just hit "forgot password."

That actually might be a good password.

My favorite passwords....

1 - Just hitting the return key

2 - If I HAVE to enter something, then I make certain it is something easy to remember like - iLOVE2eatALLdayLONG!!

I hate passwords.

I pay bills online and the password requirements are different on every site, each demanding a combination of various symbols, letters, capitalization and numbers; or numbers and letters and capitalization but no symbols, ad nauseam.

About the time I've remembered them, I am required to once again change them.

And this is why "password" is an appealing choice. Or P@ssw0rd. Or password123456789. Or whatever.

You're right. Megan. Every

You're right. Megan. Every site has different specifications (one cap, one number 8-16 characters; one cap, two numbers 4-12 characters; one cap, one symbol, 15 characters).
So how about "Forgotmyd&$#mP@sswordagin1
