Crowed?

Louisiana-Monroe's 34-31 overtime victory over the Hogs, in which the lowly rated Warhawks rallied from a 28-7 deficit, was the most embarrassing defeat for the UA since Jack Crowe's Hogs lost to The Citadel.

Silence in War Memorial.

Shock. Disbelief.

There is no enthusiasm now for next week's game against Alabama.

Arkansas' only first down in the second half, minus quarterback Tyler Wilson, was by penalty.

ULM converted six of seven times on fourth down.

The Warhawks didn't come to paint.

This was another Miracle on Markham. But for UA fans, if this was  "miracle," it was  sickening. More like another chapter in a year-long nightmare since the Cotton Bowl.

Yep...

"There is no enthusiasm now for next week's game against Alabama."

Unless the Razorbacks find a way to improve significantly, next Saturday's game will be an Otis Redding tribute - "Sittin' on the dock of the bay, watching the Tide roll away. Sittin' on the dock of the bay...wasting time."

All-time shocker

I think the Razorback loss to Louisiana-Monroe is even more astounding than that loss to the Citadel from the standpoint that the Hogs then were not nearly as highly rated as this year's team.
The ancients can remember when Arkansas lost to Santa Clara in 1951 -- and Santa Clara gave up football the next year. That Santa Clara game came in between Arkansas beating No. 4 Texas at Fayetteville and beating No. 6 Texas A&M at Fayetteville. The Hogs went 5-5 with a team that included six future NFL mainstays.

Winners?

Didja know that Louisiana-Monroe has not had a winning football season since 1993? 'Tis true. The Warhawks broke even two years in that long stretch.

But it does show how fast things can change.

Like #8 to unranked. Or vice versa.

Would be for the Hogs to beat Bama without ESPN Gameday being there stranger things have happened.

I remember us beating Bama in 2004 when we were given NO chance so..........
