One thing I've noticed from political conventions that has been taken from baseball games. Or actually it may have started with professional wrestling.

Nowadays, any politician of note takes his places in the batter's box (uh, podium) with special intro music. Everybody seems to have his special type branding music — sometimes with an accompanying video.

Taken to its logical conclusion, one of these days when you click on one of our blogs, you will be greeted by special music before we pontificate.
