Say it ain't so for Joe

I'll admit to a bias, but Joe Adams' punt return against Tennessee should have gotten the "Best Play" award at the ESPYs.

I will concede that the ESPYs, sport's equivalent of the Oscars, is a nicely hyped popularity contest especially packaged for one of the deadest sports days of the year. Anything can happen in an online popularity contest and Arkansans have proven pretty adept at online voting (Kris Allen, Peyton Hillis, etc).

Christian Watford's buzzer-beating shot that led Indiana to an upset of Kentucky was a good play, but I've seen that shot before — at least once a week during the season on NCAA, NBA or even high school highlights.

You cannot replicate that punt return by Joe Adams (in which he seemingly ran past everyone from Tennessee save Davy Crockett). It would be hard to simulate in a video game.

I'd of vote for that even if Adams wasn't from Arkansas.

Too bad the voters didn't appreciate creativity in football at its highest form.
