I know if you're over 30 you'll scoff at this.
I know 30 isn't that old, but a couple of us around here are about to say goodbye to our 20s, so mourn with us.
On getting older -
This morning I wiped some eyeliner off of my upper eyelid, and my eyelid just kind of stayed over to the side until I moved it back. What?
The other day I was sitting at a restaurant for more than an hour. Apparently I hadn't shifted in my seat because when I tried to get up I almost had to sit back down.
At 10 p.m., I'm looking for nothing but a place to get horizontal.
I have a heating pad.
Loud noises that come from outside my house are starting to interfere with my happiness.
I don't quite feel right in some of the shorts I wore in college.
Last weekend, I had a long and engaging conversation about the benefits and uses of baking soda.
When my cousins and I went out to the Rivermarket the weekend before last "to get turnt," we took a minivan.
But, getting older is awesome.
Every year I'm more O.K. with myself and get a new dose of confidence and a feeling that I'mma be me.
Doesn't matter what anyone thinks, and I am just glad to be here.
