Oxford American at Colbert Report last night

Roger Hodge, editor of The Oxford American, a southern literary magazine out of Conway, appeared on The Colbert Report last night.

Though their conversation was over the quarterly issue about music of Louisiana and there was nothing said specifically about our immediate area, the south overall looked good for a change.

I like how we've taken plain weave gingham cotton as our uniform down here. It's good with a jacket and old-fashioned specs.

In the news and elsewhere Arkansas has become the icon for religious tones in legislation and theocratic nut heads with platforms to push emotional issues like abortion, race and birth control.

Then there's meth...
