My resolution this year is simple - it is to not speak badly of people and to do more for others.
My mom has with increasing frequency asked me, "Have you done anything nice for someone lately?"
I hate to answer and say, "Well, not really."
Or, "Yeah, kinda, but...".
At my house on NYE, just after midnight, we went around in a circle explaining our resolutions.
Matt - quit smoking
Rachel - be brave
Nate - quit smoking
Lauren - keep my room clean
Marvin(grump) - not (s---)
Last year my resolution to not eat meat lasted about a week. I went to my mom's house right after she cooked bacon, so.
Let's hear em.

My resolutions for this year are a) write something every day and b) cook a new recipe at least once per week. Hopefully, by the end of 2013 I will have finished writing a book and furthered my blog. Plus, I will have added at minimum 52 new recipes to my repertoire.
Instead of trying to give up meat altogether, you could try Meatless Mondays. Cutting down on the amount of meat you eat is better than nothing. ;)
a) write something every day
SOMETHING!
Day 3
SOMETHING!
(I'm pretty sure I can keep this up)
Day 4
Something.
This really has potential...
...it could be the thread that will never die!
We could also conduct research on how much offset the LCD Forum can indent replies...
my resolutions for this month...
or 2 weeks--never know how long they will actually last.
I have several resolutions that I made to try valuing others more, give more effort, etc... but I also have some of the 'normal' resolutions. One of which is to be more healthy. Not necessarily loose weight, but if that comes a long with it then that is definitely a bonus. I really need to start using that year membership at the gym that I have been ignoring the last several months. I use to love running at lunch. That needs to be back on the books. Plus, eating healthier and drinking water. I have found that I have started drinking a lot of diet drinks while eating fast food. To say the least it isn't healthy and I don't feel good. Honestly, I may not have noticed my poor eating habits, but Jackson is now eating table food and the last thing I want to give him is what I am eating. It isn't because I am stingy, it's because it is so bad for him.
stuff
- Write more; crank out 10 short stories in the coming year
- Develop harmonica skills (I'm serious)
I can play "Amazing Grace" on
I can play "Amazing Grace" on the harmonica. But my son (8 years old) asks why I'm playing the harmonica and if I'm a cowboy. Sigh.
I think you'd look very fetching...
..in a cowboy hat Scarlet!
Thanks!
