Gift of thankfulness

During the holidays, there is so much hustle and bustle.  I mean, afterall, the greatest gift was given thousands of years ago but we are still trying to outdo the rest with the best Black Friday deals... Right?  No.

Gifts do not have to be material items, money, or Apple gift cards.  Gifts of time, kind words, and pure compassion are worth more than anything you can buy.  With that being said, I'd like to give thanks publicly to a few people.

Wet Willy's Car Wash:  I recently had some trouble with one of their wash locations and made contact with Mr. Harwood in regards to the small and trivial issue I had.  Mr. Harwood and Mr. Sullivan not only handled my concern but truly went above and beyond to ensure that I knew they were they were doing everything possible to make the issue right.  I was treated with respect, compassion, and both gentleman exceeded any expectations I had.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you both and Merry Christmas!

All Brand Appliance:  For the last few years, my husband and I have had major repairs on vehicles or appliances in the month of December.  This year was no exception... Our washer went out the day before we received so much ice.  Being the frugal people we are, we decided to go to All Brand Appliance on Oak and see if we could find an affordable but used washing machine.  They have a 6 month warranty, so it's a great deal.  We purchased a used washer, carried it home, and hooked it up.  Ohhh the noise that thing made!  We called the gentleman at the store and explained the situation, he asked us to bring the noisy one back and he'd make it right.  Sir, you did make it right!  The gentleman not only gave us an even trade on a slightly more expensive washer, but he also hooked it up and ran a cycle or two of clothes through it BEFORE we carried it all the way home to ensure we wouldn't have any problems.  I didn't catch your name, Sir, but THANK YOU so much for everything!  Go visit All Brand Appliance if you need an appliance, they've got great deals and amazing customer service.

Pizza Inn:  I sometimes go with my spouse or coworkers to Pizza Inn on Hogan for lunch.  Last Thursday, my husband and I went and had Connie as our waitress.  She's been our waitress before, but she never ceases to amaze me with her sincere smile and her ability to always be kind and caring.  Never have I before had such a good waitress.  If she has bad days, they don't show.  She's just so sweet everytime.  Connie, you are one of the main reasons I still go to Pizza Inn.  Thank you for making our lunches/dinners enjoyable and for taking such good care of us.  Merry Christmas, and God Bless!

Mauldin Heating and Air:  EVERY summer, since we bought our house, we have had some sort of AC issues.  In the winter time we have our furnace serviced to ensure no leaks or fire hazzards.  When we have a problem, we call Mauldin.  They're always fast, will come at 9pm if they have to, kind, and get the problem solved the first time.  I know the receptionist, Peggy, on a first name basis and she's always so sweet.  Charlie, the serviceman, is definitely a character and is kind to my stepson, our animals, and my husband and I.  During this time of year, you can't go without heat and thanks to Mauldin we do not have to.  Thank you so much!

I promise I am not an employee or relative of any of these companies or their employees, just a satisfied consumer who is appreciative of honest business practices and companies that truly value their customers.  In this day and age, most people only hear complaints.  I want to stop complaining so much, and be thankful for the ones who do a great job.  So, please, if you need any of the above services, please contact these companies.  I feel that you'll be just as impressed as I am.

Tis the season of giving, being thankful for what we have, humble in all we do, recognizing that one gift we've already received is truly sufficient.  Thank you Wet Willy's, All Brand Appliance, Pizza Inn, and Mauldin Heat and Air for all that you do!  I greatly appreciate you and wish you and your families and very Merry Christmas!
