The Log Cabin Democrat is excited to introduce its new iPad app, available in the Apple iTunes store. Downloading editions is free for a limited time.
This is part of an ongoing expansion of digital products and services at the Log Cabin. It follows the release of a mobile-friendly E-edition, enabling different formats on most digital devices. More to come.
The interactive iPad app offers different story reading experiences, replica and story views. Swipe and enlarge pages, swipe stories or tap icons to open additional content or play video. Readers can change text size, share the story via email, Facebook or Twitter or choose to read website comments. Other icons offer search, breaking news, navigation, a month-long archive and presorted Classified ads.
Some digital features require an Internet connection, but you can download an edition and read it offline. Again, the app is free in the iTunes store, and downloads inside the app will be free to everyone ... for now.
If you are a Log Cabin Democrat print subscriber, your subscription includes access to the iPad editions.

iPad Agnostic
iPad is the tool of the devil, eating its way into the brains of humanity in the same way a worm works its way into an apple with the ultimate goal of replacing the human brain with mush. Now Android... it isn't nearly so devious as it's very name tells you in advance of its intentions (definition: a robot with human appearance). So, when you get the Android version of this app ready, I'm in!
Tablet-friendly option; Android

It won't have the video plus content, but that is on the website too.
Also, we are reviewing an Android version of the LCD iPad app. If all goes well, it will be made available as we move forward.
