Hot Check Division Falkner County (A Joke)

This is a letter I emailed to Cody Hiland office 3 times with no response from him or his office

1/23/2012

Mr Hiland,     Last summer (July)  I contacted your hot check division and spoke to Ms Chelly Harvill about a hot check I had received and what to do about it. Because this was not the first time I had spoken to Ms. Harvill about receiving hot checks from this person, she was familiar with my problem. After discussing the matter with her, she told me to come in and fill out an affidavit because this was the 3rd hot check I had received from this  person. Ms. Harvill also informed me that if they had not received money for the hot check within 10 days, that a warrant would be issued.  After a week or two, I received a money order for the amount of the last hot check but did not include bank charges or the $45. I could charge. After visiting with Ms Harvill, she advised me to return the money order and let them deal with the person who wrote me the hot check.      After waiting about  month I contacted Ms Harvill to see how things were going. She informed me that they had contacted the person about the hot check and they had received the money order also. I asked what was going to happen, Ms Harvill informed me that she was going to return the money order just as I had done because it did not include the additional charges for her office.     I think sometime in Sept. I once again contacted Ms Harvill. This time she basically told me the same thing she told me a month earlier but that also they were going to issue  an arrest warrant.      Around the end of Oct., my attorney asked me to check with Ms Harvill on the status of the hot check. When I made contact with her, Ms Harvill informed me that a warrant had been issued in  Faulkner County. Ms Harvill also informed me that this type of warrant would not be served, but if the person was stopped for a traffic violation, that she would be arrested at that time. Ms Harvill informed me that if she was arrested that she would have to pay several hundred more in court fees and cost. I relayed this information to my attorney.       After checking several times online for the warrant over the past couple of months, and not finding it, I once again contacted Ms Harvill this morning about the progress. This morning she tells me that your office is declining to prosecute this matter any further. She gave me no reason. Also that she was just getting ready to inform me of this with a letter that she was sending out today. Also I asked about the warrant, and she now informs me that there was never a warrant issued.  I informed her that her office had done "nothing" that she said would happen after I filled out the affidavit to start with, which she agreed they had not.     My wife went by Ms Harvill office and picked up the letter that was to be sent out today.  I opened that letter this afternoon to find a "brief" statement and the money order that her office received that she had told me she send back months ago. Also, she had not enclosed the original check (nsf) so I had to contact your office again.       Would really like to know your thoughts on this matter. Thanks,

Reimbursed?

Aside from the fact that I was LIED to several times from the Hot Check Division lady, I have never been reimbursed for my bank charges and other fees I am entitled by law. That was the propose of dealing with this person(that wrote the hot checks) through the HCD..Also to make her stop sending me hot checks..

Wrong!!

Don't know what bank you use, but Regions charges for running a hot check though your account..and yes the law states that I'm entitled to an addition $35 for all the trouble of dealing with the matter..

Try visiting the office or

Try visiting the office or mailing a complaint. I would not answer any email sent to my office. I have to see to whom I am responding. Maybe it was the horrible spelling or the name the whizzer that has labeled you as a kook.

"I would not answer any email sent to my office."

Not sure which office you work for, but please tell us so I can avoid it. That's pretty crappy customer service on your part.

Wait a second here.

"this was the 3rd hot check I had received from this person."

Did you ever stop to think that maybe you should accept checks from this person?
