Science camp engages students

Fifty-one students took part in a science camp held at St. Joseph Middle School on June 6-10.

The students were in grades first through seventh.

The experiments were engaging and involved centripetal force, computer coding, chromatography and designing amusement park rides.

The camp instructors were fifth grade teachers Lindsey Thompson and Jessica Weakley and sixth grade teacher Jennifer Fullerton.


Freshman Academy partners with UALR for concurrent credit

The Vilonia Board of Education, at the May meeting, gave the nod of approval to enter a partnership with the University of Arkansas Little Rock providing incoming ninth graders, entering the Freshman Academy, an opportunity to earn concurrent college credit and ultimately graduate high school with an associate’s degree.
