Update: prescription drugs were for a detainee

Narcotics go missing; assistant jail administrator resigns

The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office has announced that prescription narcotics that went missing were not scheduled for destruction, as previously announced, but rather intended for a detainee.

The sheriff's office announced Friday that Captain Lloyd Vincent, assistant jail administrator, has resigned and is under criminal investigation.

On Thursday, sheriff's office employees uncovered evidence of the missing drugs, according to a press release from the department. Subsequently, Vincent was immediately placed on administrative leave on Thursday night. This morning Vincent resigned, and a criminal investigation has begun.
