The Baum Gallery of Art at the University of Central Arkansas will open for the fall season at 4 p.m. Sept. 4 with a reception featuring exhibitions from three nationally-renowned artists.
The works of Fay Ku, Kathleen Robbins and Theresa Pfarr will remain on display until Oct. 24.
Ku creates illustrations on paper in mixed media. Robbins, a photographer, captures scenes from the Mississippi delta. Pfarr is a semi-abstract figure painter working in acrylics.
Patrick Dougherty, an internationally-acclaimed sculptor who creates large-scale architectural forms from saplings and twigs, will also be erecting a sculpture on the UCA campus. The public unveiling will take place at 11 a.m. Sept. 20. The work will remain on display outside the Baum Gallery for up to three years.
Baum Gallery exhibitions and events are always free and open to the public. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Baum is located in the west wing of McCastlain Hall on UCA’s campus.
