UCA Theatre will present “Furry Tails with a Twist,” by Jennifer Hickok DeFratis on Friday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. in the Reynolds Performance Hall. UCA Theatre’s own traveling troupe of players, The Cadron Company, will perform the production.
In this charming family show, two bumbling actors set out to perform well-known fairy tales. But the script gets jumbled and what results is a wacky, lighthearted mixture of beloved children’s stories with twists and turns at every corner.
The production is under the direction of Liz Parker. Cast members include Colin Fowler of Cabot and Abby Saveall of Mount Ida, both UCA Theatre majors. Costume and props design is by Madison Ledbetter of Malvern with set design by Tom Marhenke, UCA Theatre’s resident Technical Director.
The play is appropriate for all ages, but is especially fun for children ages 4-11. The play runs approximately 45 minutes.
Admission is free. Tickets are not required and seats are not reserved. Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain.
After the campus performances, the play will tour to more than 20 elementary schools throughout the central Arkansas area during the spring semester.
