The Hendrix College Department of Art will host “The plan keeps coming up again,” a solo painting and printmaking exhibition by visiting artist Dustyn Bork.
Bork, an assistant professor of art at Lyon College, earned his master’s degree in printmaking from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2002, and his bachelor’s degree in printmaking from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor in 1999.
The exhibition opens Monday, Sept. 2 in the Art Building A Gallery and runs through Friday, Sept. 27. The exhibition is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Bork will discuss his solo exhibition and career as an artist whose oeuvre is mixed media painting and printmaking on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. in Art Building A Room A110. There will be a reception in the gallery following the talk.
On Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 10:10 a.m. to noon, Bork will present “Alternative Material Printing,” a demonstration of relief print and monoprint techniques using alternative materials such as builder’s foam and other construction supplies. The demonstration will be held in Art Building B Room B107.
