Students at the University of Central Arkansas plan a “trick or treat” Halloween outing, but with a twist — they plan to collect canned food for to feed needy people.
“We are going to go out and dress up and collect cans and trick or treat,” said Catherine Reid, a UCA junior who works for the university’s housing department as a resident assistant for Stadium Park.
A group of students from Stadium Park Apartments plan to go door to door in neighborhoods near UCA 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday and ask for nonperishable food items to donate to the Salvation Army. Neighborhoods students plan to visit include those on Farris and Salem roads behind UCA as far as Prince Street, down Donaghey Avenue toward Dave Ward Drive and in historic Conway toward Oak Street.
Reid said students want to get out, do something good for the community and use Halloween to make a good thing happen.
“I think it will be good for the community to see UCA get involved,” Reid said.
People may also donate canned goods at a drop box between 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Stadium Park Apartments office at 2400 Bruce St.

We both messed up:
I accidentally put in two prepositions. You accidentally put in an extra comma. :P
question
should "door to door" be door-to-door?
No silly...
...it should be door two door.

door-to-door or door to door
I actually debated this a bit, but I think it would be door to door because hyphens are generally used before a noun, i.e. the 10-year-old boy. In AP style, if I take out the boy, the wording would be a 10 year old. Then again, I read the Dem-Gaz today and saw "the 15-year-old." But the Dem-Gaz also mandates writers use "do-able" instead of doable and "throw up" instead of vomit.
What???
"if I take out the boy"
If you take out the 10-year-old boy, then you're contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
I think the FCSD has a special unit set up to track down people like you.
