2-Bit Palomino

Dan Clanton has invited his friends to The Stone House, 1720 Duncan St., to hear and meet 2-Bit Palomino, the Texas Music Awards 2011 Vocal Group of the Year, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Those attending are asked to take a $10 donation, a lawn chair and something to add to the potluck supper. Bill Ward, Ren Renfree and Andi Renfree make up the group that plays original acoustic music. Clanton said he and his trio, Happenstance, met the group at the Southwest Regional Folk Alliance gathering. “We found them to be incredibly talented and nice folks to boot,” Clanton said. “When they called looking for a place to stay on their way to Nashville, I couldn’t resist asking them to do a house concert so I could share their music with Central Arkansas music lovers.”
